The Company shall not use the Uploaded Data, Translated Data, and Voice Data as training data for its AI models for secondary purposes without the prior consent of the User.

The ownership, copyrights, and all other intellectual property rights related to the Service belong entirely to the Company or its licensors, and the license to use the Service under these Terms does not imply a license to use the intellectual property rights of the Company or its licensors related to the Service.

Article 8 (Handling of Data and Security)

The Company shall use the Uploaded Data and the Translated Data only for the purpose of providing the Service and shall store them under strict security measures on servers located in Japan that are managed by the Company.

The Uploaded Data uploaded by the User and the generated Translated Data shall be automatically deleted from the servers managed by the Company after a period set by the Organization Administrator's data retention policy following the completion of the translation process. The data retention policy can be selected from immediate deletion, 24 hours, 168 hours (7 days), or indefinite retention. However, the ability to select the policy is limited to paid plans; for the Free Plan, the retention period is fixed at 24 hours (1 day). If the Organization Administrator does not set a policy under a paid plan, indefinite retention shall apply by default.

The Company shall conduct encrypted communication and secure data processing suitable for business use in providing the Service.

To the extent necessary for translation and other information processing under the Service, the Company transmits the Uploaded Data and the Translated Data to the servers of third-party language model providers with whom the Company contracts and entrusts the processing to them. Additionally, to the extent necessary for file format conversion, the Company transmits such data to third-party file conversion service providers with whom the Company contracts and entrusts the processing to them. These providers are hereinafter collectively referred to as "External Providers", and the External Providers include providers located outside Japan.

Transmission to External Providers is limited to temporary transmission to the extent necessary for the processing set forth in the preceding paragraph. External Providers may retain the transmitted data for up to 30 days for purposes such as detecting abuse, and the data is deleted after that period. This shall not apply where retention is required by law or where an External Provider investigates suspected abuse.

The Company uses only those External Providers that guarantee, under a contract with the Company or under the provider's own terms, that the transmitted data will not be used to train the provider's AI models or for any other secondary use. The Company shall endeavor to ensure the secure handling of the User's data by concluding appropriate contracts, including confidentiality obligations, with External Providers.

When an AI agent or translation function uses web search, search queries and other information required for the search are transmitted to the search service provider. When direct access to external websites is permitted, the AI agent may access URLs contained in search results or other content, and the URL (including query parameters) and ordinary network request information are transmitted to the destination website. Users must have the authority to transmit such information and must not include third-party confidential information or other information that should not be transmitted.

Voice Data input when using the live translation function shall be used solely for the purpose of real-time translation processing and may be transmitted to External Providers from the Company's servers or from the User's device. The Company shall not store Voice Data beyond the extent necessary for translation processing.

Article 9 (Confidentiality)

The User and the Company shall not disclose or leak to any third party any technical, business, or other information disclosed by the other party or learned in connection with the use of the Service (hereinafter referred to as "Confidential Information") without the prior written consent of the other party. However, this shall not apply where disclosure is required by law.

The provisions of the preceding paragraph shall remain in effect even after the termination of the Service usage agreement.

However, if this disclaimer is not permitted under the Consumer Contract Act or other laws, the Company's liability for damages shall be limited to the total amount of usage fees paid by the User to the Company during the three months preceding the date on which the damage occurred.

The Service partially depends on services provided by External Providers. Therefore, the Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by the User due to the suspension, interruption, specification changes, or quality degradation of the services of External Providers, or any other reasons attributable to External Providers.

Article 14 (Damages)

If the User causes damage to the Company by violating these Terms or in connection with the use of the Service, the User shall compensate the Company for such damage.

Article 17 (Modification of these Terms)

The Company may modify these Terms if it deems necessary. If these Terms are modified, the Company shall announce the effective date and content of the modified Terms by posting them on the Company's website or by other appropriate means, or notify Users. However, if the modification requires the consent of Users under applicable laws, the Company shall obtain the consent of Users in the manner prescribed by the Company.

Article 18 (Prohibition of Assignment of Rights and Obligations)

Users may not assign their status under these Terms or their rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party, or pledge them as collateral, without the prior written consent of the Company.
